Kanakamedala confirms formal alliance between TDP, Jana Sena, and BJP for AP elections

Amaravati: The long-awaited political development in Andhra Pradesh's political landscape has finally materialized as the Telugu Desam Party (TDP), Jana Sena, and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) have formalized their alliance. After days of negotiations in Delhi, leaders from TDP and Jana Sena, Chandrababu Naidu and Pawan Kalyan respectively, have successfully convinced the BJP leadership to join forces.

TDP senior leader Kanakamedala Ravindra Kumar officially announced the alliance, stating that the three parties have agreed to contest the 2024 elections as a coalition. A joint statement by TDP, Jana Sena, and BJP is expected to be released today, confirming their agreement on the alliance and seat-sharing understanding.

Kanakamedala emphasized that there's no confusion regarding the alliance and that an understanding has been reached on all matters after recent discussions. The parties have agreed to join the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) and final decisions on seat distribution are being made.

He highlighted that all parties have decided to work together with the future of the state in mind, taking into consideration the challenges that might arise. Chandrababu Naidu has been in discussions with several leaders to explain the situation and garner support for the alliance.

Kanakamedala also mentioned that the people have recognized the necessity of alliances to ensure that the government-opposing vote does not split, reflecting the sentiment that the parties should unite to contest the elections. This strategy is intended to prevent vote division against the current government led by Jagan Mohan Reddy.

Despite potential dissatisfaction among some members due to seat distribution, the party leadership is committed to ensuring justice and fairness for all involved.
