YSRCP MLA Vasantha Krishna Prasad joins TDP
Hyderabad: Mylavaram YCP MLA Vasantha Krishna Prasad has joined the Telugu Desam Party (TDP). He was formally welcomed into the party in the presence of party leader Chandrababu Naidu. This morning, Krishna Prasad arrived at Chandrababu's residence in Hyderabad, where Chandrababu draped him with the party's scarf, symbolically welcoming him into the TDP fold.
On the other hand, Krishna Prasad recently voiced severe criticisms against the YCP and Chief Minister Jagan. He accused Jagan of backtracking on his word regarding Amaravati being the capital and stated that positions within the YCP were only given to those who criticized the opposition leaders. He expressed his frustration over being asked to personally attack Chandrababu and Lokesh even while being promised the Mylavaram ticket by the YCP.
He mentioned his decision to join the TDP was due to his inability to stay in the YCP. Krishna Prasad clarified that he holds no personal grudges against Devineni Uma and mentioned that both have discussed matters to work together. Meanwhile, there are increasing chances that the Mylavaram MLA ticket, which might have been considered for Devineni Uma, will likely be allocated to Vasantha Krishna Prasad by Chandrababu.
