TDP workers protest at Chandrababu's residence over election ticket allocation

Several leaders associated with the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) are expressing their discontent over the first list of candidates released by the party for the upcoming Andhra Pradesh Assembly elections. Leaders who did not receive a ticket in the initial list are voicing their dissatisfaction, questioning how the party could prefer newcomers over those who have been loyal to it for years.

Recently, supporters of Golla Shankar Yadav, who was expecting a ticket for the Tamballapalle constituency, staged a protest on Monday at Chandrababu Naidu's residence. They arrived with petrol cans, demanding that the ticket for Tamballapalle be given to their leader.

Security personnel stationed at Chandrababu's residence intervened, confiscating the petrol cans and thwarting the protesters' plans. In response, Shankar Yadav's supporters staged a sit-in on the road, chanting slogans. Chandrababu Naidu has chosen Dasari Palle Jayachandra Reddy as the TDP candidate from the Tamballapalle constituency in Annamayya district, sparking criticism from Yadav's followers.

They accuse Jayachandra Reddy of being a follower of Peddareddy and argue against encouraging covert operatives within the party, urging that injustice should not be done to those who have sincerely worked for the party's cause.
