Krishnam Raju's wife Shyamala Devi addresses her political entry rumours

Narasapuram: Late actor and former MP Krishnam Raju's wife, Shyamala Devi, is rumoured to enter politics, intending to compete in the Lok Sabha elections from Narsapuram on behalf of the YSRCP. During an interview with the media, Shyamala Devi clarified her position amid these rumours. On the occasion of Krishnam Raju's birth anniversary on the 20th of this month (Saturday), a health camp was organized in his native village, Mogalthur, which Shyamala Devi personally looking after the arrangements.

Shyamala Devi explained that she intends to work towards realizing the vision of Krishnam Raju, who was passionate about ensuring education and healthcare for the poor. She elaborated on the health camp initiative in Mogalthur as part of the birth anniversary event, emphasizing her current focus on providing medical care to the underprivileged. She mentioned that she would respond to the speculation regarding her political entry after the completion of her husband's birth anniversary events and the health camp.

She discussed Krishnam Raju's significant efforts to develop the villages in the Narsapuram constituency, particularly in providing quality education and medical facilities to the poor. Shyamala Devi also recognized the participation of Krishnam Raju’s fans in these service programs, mentioning Dr. Venu Kavartapu, a London-based fan of Krishnam Raju renowned for his treatment of gangrene, who frequently visited their home.

Shyamala Devi narrated Krishnam Raju’s intention to make Dr. Venu’s services accessible to the poor in India, and how he spoke with the management of Apollo Hospitals to facilitate this. She mentioned that Dr. Venu is now serving as a consultant at Apollo Hospital, where he has made treatment for gangrene accessible to the poor. She concluded by saying that currently, her attention is fully focused on these service programs, and she intends to discuss her political aspirations following the completion of the birth anniversary event.
