DAV Public School will reopen from tomorrow

Hyderabad, November 2: The Education department has restored permission for the DAV Public School to reopen from Thursday (November 3). District Education Officer Rohini issued orders in this regard, giving relief to the parents, who were worried about their wards’ future.
 
It should be noted here that the police on October 18 arrested Rajani Kumar, driver of Badam Saroja Devi DAV Public School, Banjara Hills Road No: 14, for sexually assaulted a four-and-half-year old student. He was sent for remand. Parents demanded the authorities to take stringent action against the accused.
 
Following this, the government cancelled the school permission on October 22. As many as parents of 650 students staged a protest at KBR Park demanding to continue the school in the old building at Banjara Hills on October 23. They even met Education Minister Sabitha Indra Reddy and DEO Rohini seeking reopening of school in the old building. 
 
The authorities conducted ballot system to collect opinion of parents on the opening of the school and 95% of parents supported it. School Director Nisha also visited the school recently and inspected the security arrangements. The DEO ordered the school authorities to take proper security arrangements in the school.
