Hawala money continues to flow, Rs 9.3 cr seized in 10 days in Hyderabad

Hyderabad, October 23: Hawala money transactions are continuing in Telganana. On Saturday night, police seized about Rs one crore that was being shifted in two cars. Five persons were arrested in this regard. The cars were going from Kokapet to Narsingi.
 
During police interrogation, the accused revealed that they have to hand over the money to Komatireddy Sumanth Reddy and Komatireddy Suryapawan. Cases were booked against nine persons over this hawala money.
 
Since the accused mentioned persons with the surname of Komatireddy, police are suspecting this cash was being shifted to Munugode voters only. 
 
Recently, police seized Rs 2 crore shifted in a car at Banjara Hills in Hyderabad. Within 10 days, about Rs 9.3 crore was seized in Hyderabad. 
 
Police have intensified vehicle checking at all districts borders in the wake of Munugode bypolls. They are investigating to know the persons behind this hawala rocket.
