Bus burnt to ashes in Krishna district, passengers escape

Pedaparupudi, October 21: An RTC bus was burnt to ashes after fire broke out in the engine at Ventrapragada, Pedaparupudi mandal in Krishna district. The incident took place when the bus was going from Gudivada to Vijayawada. There were 60 passengers including students and others in the bus at the time of the incident.
 
Immediately after noticing fire coming from the engine, bus driver became alert and stopped the bus. All the passengers hurriedly got down, thus averting a major disaster.
 
But, in a hurry to save their lives, most of the passengers left their bags in the bus. All the bags turned to ashes. A few passengers said that cash, gold, clothes and other items in their bags were destroyed. 
 
After getting information, firefighting staff reached the spot and doused the fire. Police inspected the bus and filed a case.
