Nirmala Sitharaman pays obeisance to Lord Venkateshwara Swamy at Tirumala

Tirumala: Union Minister for Finance Nirmala Sitharaman had darshan of Lord Venkateshwara Swamy at Tirumala on Thursday. She was accorded a traditional welcome by priests. TTD Chairman Subba Reddy, EO Dharma Reddy and others greeted her on the occasion.

After entering the temple, Nirmala first bowed to the flagpole and then visited the presiding deity in the sanctum sanctorum. After reaching the Ranganayaka Mandapam, Vedic scholars blessed her. After that, the chairman handed over prasadam, coffee table book, New Year's diary and calendar. State Finance Minister Buggana Rajendranath Reddy, MP Gurumurthy and others were present.

Union Minister Nirmala Sitharaman interacted with devotees outside the Srivari temple with devotees. She enquired how the darshan went and whether there were facing any difficulties. In turn, they said that they had darshan without any difficulty, but sometimes the jostling taking place in the queue
Meanwhile, a family from Tamil Nadu spoke to the minister and complained that they were not given additional laddus. With this, Nirmala Sitharaman handed over her laddus to the family.
