Karthikeya 2: 100 crore + streaming minutes in just 48 hours on OTT, claims Zee5

Hyderabad: Karthikeya 2 created a sensation in the theatres. The film was released on August 13 in Telugu as well as Hindi and Tamil languages and became a massive hit bringing huge profits to the makers.

The makers of this film, which received an unexpected success in Bollywood, have recently brought it to OTT on the Dussehra festival and it was streamed on Zee5. In 48 hours, more than 100 crore minutes of this movie have been streamed, and the Zee5 OTT platform has also officially shared this on Twitter. The makers expressed their happiness as the film is creating a buzz not only in theatres but also on OTT.

Karthikeya 2 starring Nikhil and Anupama Parameswaran as the lead pair is jointly produced by People's Media Factory and Abhishek Agarwal Arts under the direction of Chandoo Mondeti. TG   Vishwaprasad and Abhishek Agarwal are the producers.

Actually, this movie was released in theaters with normal expectations. The content and the performance of the hero Karthikeya impressed the audience tremendously. Though Bollywood actor Anupam Kher was seen for a short time his role was well-received by the audience. Hence, it was well received in the North, too.

This movie is still running successfully in some theaters in the North. The film also became a hit overseas as well. Overall the film unit is happy as it was well received on all platforms. Hence, the film unit reportedly making efforts to make 'Kartikeya 3' even bigger. 

It is learnt that in Tollywood circles that director Chandu Mondeti has already started working on the story of Karthikeya 3. If all goes as per plan, there are chances that Karthikeys 3 may go to the floors soon.
