White paper on TTD assets released; construction of 5 rest houses soon: Subba Reddy

Tirupati, September 24: Several key decisions were taken at the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) Board of Trustees meeting held here on Saturday. The meeting was chaired by TTD Chairman Y.V. Subba Reddy. After conclusion of the meeting, Subba Reddy released a white paper on TTD assets during the press meet. “960 properties of the TTD are valuing Rs 85,700 crores,” he revealed.
 
The TTD chief said that a decision was taken to use only organic ingredients in preparation of Srivari Prasadam. “Construction of 5 rest houses worth Rs 95 crore for devotees will start soon,” he mentioned. To meet future needs, Subba Reddy said that the TTD is purchasing 130 acres government land for Rs 25 crore near Vadamalapeta.
 
“Issuing of Sarva darshan tickets to devotees in Tirupati will commence after annual Brahmotsavam,” he stated. Temple governing body has decided to allow devotees holding VIP break darshan tickets from 10 am to 12 noon only.
