AP Assembly session begins with TDP demanding debate on job calendar

Amaravati, September 15: With an agenda passing revised three capitals Bill and highlighting rapid progress in construction of Polavaram Project, monsoon session of the Legislative Assembly commenced on Thursday. The Opposition TDP moved a motion seeking a debate on job calendar announcement made by the YSRCP government. But Speaker Thammineni Seetharam rejected the motion.

The TDP members demanded that the Speaker should allow discussion on job calendar first then move on to other proceedings. They raised slogans against the Jagan government. Amidst TDP protest, Speaker continued question answer session.

Responding, Minister Jogi Ramesh recalled that the YSRCP government filled 1.35 lakh regular jobs in village/ward secretariats throughout the state and gave 2.5 lakh volunteer jobs to unemployed youth. Terming TDP MLAs as politically unemployed, Ramesh criticised TDP chief and Leader of the Opposition N. Chandrababu Naidu for sending his party MLAs to House to create ruckus while former sitting at home.
