AP first in economic and environment offences during Jagan Reddy rule: Nara Lokesh

Amaravati, September 1: TDP national general secretary Nara Lokesh shared an English newspaper report on his Facebook and criticised the YSRCP government for significant rise in economic and environment offences in Andhra Pradesh.

As per the 2021 report released by the National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB), state has registered 9,273 cases related to economic offences in 2021. 420 cases were recorded under environmental offences for the same period.

Nara Lokesh slammed the Jagan government for filing cases under sedition law for objectionable social media posts. Even, YSRCP rebel MP Raghu Ramakrishna Raju was arrested under sedition law. The MP got a relief after he approached the Supreme Court.

The NCRB report says state stands sixth position in the country in cybercrimes. “AP was in first place in development under the rule of N. Chandrababu Naidu whereas state topped in crime during Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy’s three-year rule,” he flayed.
