MP GVL meets PM Modi, invites him to Vizag for laying stone to rail zone headquarters
Delhi, August 25: BJP MP GVL Narasimha Rao met Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) here on Thursday and invited him to Visakhapatnam for laying foundation stone and inauguration of several national-level projects.
In a letter handed over to the PM, GVL enlisted various projects taken up by the Central government are ready for inauguration. He requested Narendra Modi to launch expansion and modernisation works of Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd (HPCL) worth Rs 26,000 crore.
GVL also urged the PM to lay stone for the South Coast Railway (SCoR) zonal headquarters, mega fishing harbour, and modernisation of Vizag railway station to be taken up with Rs 400 crore and inaugurate first phase of IIM campus.
Responding to MP’s request, the PM told him that he will finalise Visakhapatnam tour at the earliest. BJP Rajya Sabha member thanked Modi for accepting his request to visit Visakhapatnam.
