Gill breaks Sachin's record for highest score by an Indian batter against Zimbabwe
Hyderabad: Team India's young player Shubman Gill scored his maiden ODI century. Gill scored a brilliant century in the third ODI against Zimbabwe in Harare. Gill scored 130 runs off 97 balls in this match. Gill has thus achieved a rare feat.
Gill became the Indian player, who scored the highest individual score against Zimbabwe in ODIs. Until now, this record was held by Sachin Tendulkar, the legend of Team India. In 1998, Sachin was unbeaten by scoring 127 runs in the ODI against Zimbabwe. Gill, who scored 130 runs in the latest match, broke Sachin's 24-year-old record.
When it comes to the match... Team India, which batted first scored 289 runs for the loss of eight wickets in 50 overs. Among the Indian batsmen, Gill (130 runs) excelled with a century while Ishan Kishan scored 50 and Dhawan 40.
