Mystery shrouds YSRCP MLA’s son-in-law’s death

Tadepalli, August 20: Pappireddy Manjunatha Reddy (34), son-in-law of YSRCP MLA Kapu Ramachandra Reddy died in suspicious circumstances on Friday night. The incident took place in flat number 101 of Avanthi Apartment in Kunchanapalli of Tadepalli mandal, Guntur district.
 
According to sources, Manjunatha Reddy now and then used to stay in the flat for two to three days. His father is Maheswar Reddy, YSRCP leader and owner of PMR constructions. 
 
Initially, news spread social media that Manjunatha Reddy committed suicide. But the circumstances at the location and the information given by the locals are suggesting that it was a suspicious death. Police’s non-reaction over the incident is strengthening the doubts.
 
According to information, the residents of other flats said that Narender Reddy, caretaker of 101 flat entered the flat at 5.30 pm on Friday and a few minutes later ambulance came. They said that Narender Reddy told them that Manjunatha Reddy was inside the flat and he went inside through window. They further informed that they went inside the flat and noticed that the victim was lying on the floor beside the bed. It is unknown that whether he died inside the flat, or on his way to hospital or in the hospital.
 
Manjunatha Reddy’s father Maheshwar Reddy said that his son was in tension due to pending of bills to their company and for not getting bank loans on time. He said that they got a phone call on Friday evening informing that their son was dead.
 
Police filed a case of suspicious death and started investigation.
