TPCC chief Revanth apologises to Komatireddy Venkat Reddy

Hyderabad, August 13: Telangana Congress president Revanth Reddy tendered an unconditional apology to Congress MP and star campaigner Komatireddy Venkat Reddy over the adverse remarks made by Congress leader Addanki Dayakar at a public meeting in Chandur.

In a video released to the media, Revanth said that it is not appropriate for any political leader to use such kind of language. He mentioned that issue will be referred to the Congress Disciplinary Committee headed by former minister G. Chinna Reddy.

Earlier, Venkat Reddy had faulted Revanth for not condemning the derogatory remarks made against him in the meeting itself. Moreover, he was annoyed for comparing him to a home guard. The MP demanded an apology from the TPCC president over Addanki’s comments.

Venkat Reddy’s brother Komatireddy Rajgopal quit the Congress and Munugode MLA post. He will join the BJP on August 21 in the presence of Union Minister Amit Shah.
