Modi will be Prime Ministerial candidate in 2024 general elections: Amit Shah

Patna: There has been a long discussion about who will be the Prime Ministerial candidate of NDA in the 2024 general elections. Union Home Minister Amit Shah made a key announcement to end the speculation. He made it clear that the current Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be the prime ministerial candidate of the BJP in the next election as well. It has been revealed that he will go to the elections under his leadership.

Moreover, Amit Shah stated that the alliance between BJP and JD(U) can be strengthened. He explained that the two parties will contest together in the 2024 general elections as well as the 2025 Bihar assembly elections. Amit Shah was the chief guest at the two-day joint national executive meeting of the BJP's fronts held in Patna. He made these comments while addressing the closing ceremony on Sunday.

There was a campaign that Prime Minister Modi will retire in the 2024 elections and BJP will field a new candidate in his place. In this context, Amit Shah gave clarity two years before the elections. He made it clear to the activists that Modi is their candidate.

Tricolour flags made by Kashmiris were distributed to everyone in this programme. Sources in the party said that the flags they had made were distributed to show that Kashmiris had changed their minds after the abrogation of Article 370.

Amit Shah also called for hoisting national flags all over the country to celebrate ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’. It has been suggested that the tricolor flags should be hoisted on every house for three days from August 13-15.
