Kishan Reddy slams KCR over Delhi tour when Telangana devasted with floods

Hyderabad, July 30: Union Minister Kishan Reddy hit out at Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) for staying in Delhi for the last four days when people in the state are suffering due to floods. On Saturday, he visited colonies submerged because of floodwater from Musi river and inspected Moosarambagh bridge where water overflowed few days ago leading to closure.

Kishan Reddy spoke to officials to know the reasons for flooding. Talking to reporters, he alleged that houses of the poor are submerging as some people are illegally occupying Musi land with the support of ruling party leaders.

The minister slammed the TRS government for not taking measures to remove encroachments on the Musi river. “Telangana government constituted the Musi Riverfront Development Corporation for development and beautification of river-stretch but of no use,” he said and added that the KCR government failed to use SDRF funds for taking up rescue and relief measures.
