Sharmila’s YSRTP may impact elections in two districts: KTR

Hyderabad, July 15: In a freewheeling chat with media, TRS working president K. Taraka Rama Rao, popularly known as KTR, said on Friday that Y.S. Sharmila’s YSR Telangana Party (YSRTP) may impact Assembly elections in two districts. He denied the reports of TRS may go for early elections.

KTR said that the TRS stood in first place in both surveys conducted by the BJP and Congress. The TRS leader mentioned that popularity of Congress fell drastically. “Congress will suffer humiliating defeat in Himachal Pradesh, Gujarat and Karnataka,” he opined.

However, KTR exuded confidence of TRS winning 90 seats in 2023 polls and TRS chief K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) becoming Telangana CM for third time. “KCR is the only politician from South India set to become CM for third consecutive time,” he said.

KTR slammed the Modi government at Centre for not coming to the rescue of rain-battered Telangana. “The Central government is taking revenge on Telangana without sanctioning funds,” he criticised.
