Telangana High Court rejects Sai Pallavi’s plea

Hyderabad, July 8: The Telangana High Court on Thursday rejected the plea filed by actress Sai Pallavi in a controversial comments case.

Bajrang Dal leaders complained to the Sultan Bazar police against the actress that she made controversial comments on Kashmiri Files movie and also on cow defenders. Following this, police registered a case and served notice to Sai Pallavi on June 21.

The actress approached the High Court seeking cancellation of the notices, but the court rejected her plea and dismissed her petition.

As part of the promotions of her movie Virata Parvam, in a recent interview Sai Pallavi said, “The Kashmir Files movie showed how Kashmiri Pundits were killed during 1990s. During Covid pandemic, a cow was transported in a vehicle, which was driven by a Muslim driver. He was beaten up and raised slogans like ‘Jai Sri Ram’. What is the difference between these two incidents?”

She further said that one should be good and should not create problems to others.
