Hyd: Special teams formed to nab former TDP MLA Chintamaneni Prabhakar
Hyderabad, July 7: Patancheru DSP S Bheem Reddy on Thursday said that three special teams were formed to nab former TDP MLA Chintamaneni Prabhakar. On a specific information, the police raided a mango farm near Chinnakanjerla village under Patancheru police station limits and took 21 persons into custody for participating in rooster fights and seized Rs 13 lakh in cash, 26 vehicles, 27 mobiles, 31 roosters and 31 knives from them.
However, Chintamaneni Prabhakar, former MLA of Denduluru constituency in Eluru district, Andhra Pradesh, Akkineni Satish and B Srinu managed to escape.
Speaking to the media, the DSP said that they will arrest Chintamaneni and others at the earliest and will register cases under the PD Act. The police are searching for the TDP leader based on his mobile signals. But Prabhakar left the mobile in an unknown location and fled. The police also found that Chintamaneni and others played cards before participating in rooster fights.
