Man murdered over love marriage

Hyderabad, July 4: A man was stabbed to death and later burned by his wife’s family members in Hyderabad.

According to the family members of the deceased, S Narayana Reddy (25), son of S Balireddy and Narayanamma of Prakasam district, was working in Hyderabad after completing B Tech and Hotel Management course. He fell in love with Ravali, daughter of his distant relative Kandula Venkateswhar Reddy, and married her one year ago in a temple. Later, they sought police help, who gave counseling to the parents of Ravali and Narayana Reddy.

Later, Ravali’s father filed a case that his daughter was missing with Komarolu police station. About 10 months ago, police spoke with the couple at Markapuram DSP office. Ravali went with her parents as they agreed to arrange a reception within a week. As she didn’t return, Narayana Reddy filed a petition in High Court.

Meanwhile, Ravali’s family members decided to kill Narayana Reddy and to perform second marriage to her. Ravali’s relative Srinivas Reddy along with his friends went to Narayana Reddy’s house, who was living in KPHB, on June 27 night. They took him out for dinner.

The deceased relative, who is living in the same room, complained to the police on June 30 that Narayana Reddy didn’t return even after three days. Following call data, police nabbed Srinivas Reddy’s friend Ashik.

According to police, Srinivas Reddy and his friend took Narayana Reddy in a car to Zinnaram and killed him by strangulation. Later they burnt the body with petrol in the forest on the outskirts of Zinnaram.

CI Kishan went to the spot and recovered the body. They took Kandula Venkateswar Reddy and his son into custody.
