Infosys, HCL to set up software development centres in Vizag next month: Amarnath

Visakhapatnam, June 28: Tech giants Infosys and HCL are setting up software development centres in Visakhapatnam next month, said Industries Minister Gudivada Amarnath on Tuesday while addressing an event organised here on the occasion of the International MSME Day.
 
The minister mentioned that the state government had released Rs 1,700 crore to all eligible Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). “Rs 500 crore will be released for MSMEs next month,” he added.
 
Speaking to the media, one lakh acres of land is available in the state for setting up new industries. Amarnath said that the YSRCP government is developing Visakhapatnam, Tirupati and Vijayawada as IT hubs. 
 
“The AP government is striving to develop industrial sector in the state as per the directions of Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy,” he added and assured every industrialist and businessman that his government is always ready to support them. Officials of the Industries Department were present.
