40 women try to escape from rescue home in Rangareddy district, arrested

Rangareddy, June 23: Forty women tried to flee from the Prajwala Rescue Home here by breaking the main door on Friday morning. On receiving information, the police reached the spot. They demanded cops to allow them to go to their native places. 
 
These women, who are facing Prevention of Immoral Trafficking Act (PITA) cases, were kept in the rescue home at Mankhal village in Rangaredy district. They resisted when the cops tried to arrest them. The cops put women in a vehicle and shifted them to Hyderabad.
 
According to reports, the inmates were frustrated for staying for such a long duration at rescue home as their release will depend on outcome of court verdicts.
