Modi govt obstructing entry of new industries into Telangana: KTR
Sangareddy, June 22: Minister for IT and Industries K. Taraka Rama Rao (KTR) came down heavily on the BJP-led Modi government for obstructing entry of new industries into Telangana. Addressing a meeting after laying foundation stone for Vem Technologies Private Limited at National Investment and Manufacturing Zone (NIMZ) in Zaheerabad on Wednesday, he faulted the Centre for shifting defence industrial corridor sanctioned to Bengaluru and Hyderabad to Bundelkhand in Uttar Pradesh.
KTR said it is easy to attract new industrial units when basic infrastructure is in place. “But the Central government had taken decision from political point of view and declared defence corridor in the Bundelkhand region for votes,” he slammed.
Vem Technologies is investing Rs 1,000 crore and will generate employment to 2,050 persons directly and indirectly. Zaheerabad MP BB Patial, MLAs Manik rao, Kranti Kiran, and Bhupal Reddy, Principal Secretary (Industries) Jayesh Ranjan, TSIIC Chairman G Balamallu and other officials were present.
