Agnipath scheme protest: Tension at Secunderabad railway station

Hyderabad, June 17: Tension erupted on Friday at Secunderabad railway station as NSUI activists and students pelted stones at city buses near the railway station and set two bogies on fire.
 
The agitation against Agnipath scheme is becoming intense and spread to Hyderabad also. The protestors barged into the railway station and pelted stones at the trains on the platform. They damaged the first three platforms damaged.
 
Thousands of aspirants of army jobs staged a protest demanding withdrawal of Agnipath scheme and conducting of army tests as usual. After getting information, police rushed to the spot and tried to take the protestors into custody. With this, the protestors ran into the railway station and pelted stones at the trains. 
 
Passengers waiting at the station became panic. Police are trying to control the situation.
 
Meanwhile, the railway officials have stopped the trains due to the NSUI activists’ protest.
