Waqf Board chief says no to step down

Hyderabad, June 10: Amid backlash from Opposition parties over Amnesia gang rape case, the ruling TRS government asked TS Waqf Board Chairman Mohammad Masiullah Khan to resign from the post immediately. But Khan clearly stated that there is no question of resigning for the post. None can remove me from the chairman post, he added.

Home Minister Mohamood Ali is reportedly trying to convince Masiullah Khan to step down from the post.

It should be reminded here that the Wakf Board Chairman’s son was accused in the gang rape of a minor girl in an Innova car on May 28.

Meanwhile, police took A1 accused in the case Sadik Malik into custody for four days for interrogation. After conducting medical tests, Sadik will be shifted to police station.

Police are going to reconstruct the scene and will take the accused to Amnesia pub, Cancu bakery and the place where the incident took place. He will be taken to the place where Innova car was hidden.
