KTR questions Modi in filling up of 16 lakh jobs

Hyderabad, June 10: Accusing Prime Minister Narendra Modi of failing in providing jobs to the youth, IT Minister KT Rama Rao demanded filling up of 16 lakh government jobs immediately.

In a letter addressed to the PM, Minister KTR reminded Modi’s promise to rovide two crore jobs every year and asked why he is not fulfilling his promise. He alleged that there are chances for losing lakhs of government jobs as the Central government is privatizing government sectors.

KTR noted that there will be no reservation in private companies, due to which crores of Dalit, Girijan and BC youth will not get government jobs. He said that TRS government has filled 32,000 government jobs till date and will fill another one lakh jobs this year. Besides this, the government has provided jobs to 16 lakh youth in corporate sectors, he added.

KTR alleged that the Centre has denied job opportunities to Telangana youth by scrapping ITIR project for Hyderabad. He sought to know what steps the Centre takes to fill 16 lakh jobs. Otherwise, he warned of launching movement with Telangana youth till the jobs are filled.
