JP Nadda lacks awareness on AP affairs: Roja

Amaravati, June 8: Tourism Minister R.K. Roja on Wednesday condemned remarks made by BJP national president J.P. Nadda against the YSRCP government at Godavari Garjana in Rajahmundry. “Initially, I thought Nadda might be an intellectual but I realised that he lacks awareness on affairs of Andhra Pradesh after he spoke at public meeting,” she stated.

Roja flayed Nadda for claiming funds released to AP by Centre as if Modi government gave over and above rightful share. “The BJP chief can boast of giving funds to AP if the Centre released revenue deficit grants as promised in the AP Reorganisation Act. Roja asked Nadda as to why BJP-ruled 18 states are not implementing the same welfare schemes of AP. “People of AP are not fools to believe the words of Nadda on debt as all other states are also borrowing,” she stated.

The minister came down heavily on BJP chief for saying that the AP government is implementing Central government’s Ayushman Bharat by changing its name to Aarogyasri health scheme. “Centre is sanctioning only Rs 250 crore to AP for Ayushman Bharat whereas YSRCP government is spending Rs 2,000 crore towards Aarogyasri,” she mentioned.
