KCR to distribute cheques to kin of farmers who died during stir against farm laws

New Delhi: Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, who is in Delhi tour, was busy with a series of visits on Saturday. KCR met Uttar Pradesh Leader of the Opposition Akhilesh Yadav. Later, accompanied by Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal he paid a visit to a government school in South Moti Bhag and inspected the facilities and classrooms there. 

He asked Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal for details about the amenities being provided in the government schools. The two will also visit Mohalla Clinics in Delhi. It may be noted that many leaders from across the country, who are paying a visit to Delhi, are asking Chief Minister Kejriwal to show the government schools and Mohalla Clinics. Earlier, it was Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Stalin and now, it is the turn of Telangana Chief Minister KCR. The schools and clinics have won appreciation as they are being run on par with private schools and private hospitals.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister KCR will leave for Chandigarh on May 22 as part of his national tour. He will distribute cheques for Rs 3 lakh to each of the family members of 600 farmers, who died during the farmers' movement. KCR, along with Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, will participate in the distribution of cheques.
