SP chief Akhilesh Yadav meets Telangana CM KCR at Delhi
Delhi, May 21: Samajwadi Party (SP) president Akhilesh Yadav met Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao, popularly called as KCR, at latter’s residence here on Saturday. In an effort to bring national and regional parties under one umbrella against the BJP, KCR reached Delhi from Hyderabad as part of his 10-day nationwide tour.
KCR and SP chief discussed about present political situation in the country. Even, Assembly elections held in Uttar Pradesh recently came up for discussion. Both reportedly also talked regarding an alternative front and role of regional parties at national-level. In Delhi, KCR will meet prominent political leaders, economists and editors of popular newspapers and news channels.
The Telangana CM will leave for Chandigarh from Delhi on Sunday afternoon. He will console kin of 600 farmers, who died while opposing farm laws, and distribute cheque worth Rs 3 lakh to each family. Some of the TRS MPs are accompanying KCR in his tour.
