Former CM Kiran Kumar Reddy to head APCC?

Hyderabad, May 17: After hunting for a strong leader to head APCC, Congress president Sonia Gandhi and leader Rahul Gandhi are left with only option, i.e., former Chief Minister of united Andhra Pradesh Nallari Kiran Kumar.

Both present PCC chief Sailajanath and former chief Raghuveera Reddy have reportedly failed to instill enthusiasm and energy in the party cadre. Hence, the top leaders are planning to change the leadership to strengthen the party in Andhra Pradesh.

Both Rahul and Sonia opined that party will regenerate if a leader with good public image is appointed as PCC chief. They believe that YSRCP leaders may join Congress if Kiran Kumar Reddy is made the chief. ‘All his (Kiran Kumar Reddy) friends and followers will return to the Congress and party will strengthen.’

Former CM Kiran Kumar Reddy fought against united AP bifurcation and later started ‘Jai Samaikyandhra’ party. He returned to his old nest and supporting Congress.

According to sources, party senior leaders discussed about appointing Kiran Kumar Reddy as APCC chief during a meeting in Udaypur, Rajasthan.
