Hyd: Married woman kills lover with help of Facebook friends at Meerpet
Hyderabad, May 12: The police took a married woman into custody for hiring Facebook friends to kill her lover at Prashanthi Hills under Meerpet police station limits. According to cops, Shwetha Reddy and photographer Ashwin, a resident of Bagh Amberpet, became friends through Facebook in 2018. Soon after, the friendship developed into an illicit relationship.
For the last one month, Ashwin exerting pressure on Shwetha to marry him. But she rejected his offer. He started blackmailing her by saying that he would upload intimacy photos and videos between them on social media. Fearing that illegal affair with Ashwin would be exposed, Shwetha asked another Facebook friend Ashok to kill Ashwin. Ashok, who belongs to Tiruvuru mandal in Krishna district, had agreed to eliminate him.
On May 4, Shwetha asked Ashwin to meet her at Prashanthi Hills. She intimated about the arrival of Ashwin to her locality to Ashok. On the night of the same day, Ashok and his friend Karthik killed Ashwin with hammers. He died in a hospital on May 6 while undergoing treatment. The police registered a case and took up investigation.
