Textile sector badly hit with Modi’ govt’s decisions, alleges KTR in open letter to Bandi Sanjay

Hyderabad, May 2: Minister for IT, Industries and Municipal Administration K. Taraka Rama Rao (KTR) wrote an open letter to Telangana BJP president Bandi Sanjay. He alleged that textile sector was badly hit with the decisions taken by the Central government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. “Comments made by Bandi Sanjay on handloom weavers are reflecting his innocence and lack of knowledge on textile sector,” he stated.

KTR mentioned that credit goes to the Modi government in independent India for imposing taxes on clothes made by handloom weavers. He asked as to Bandi was not aware of handloom weavers stopped committing suicides after the TRS government came to power in Telangana.

Throwing a challenge to Sanjay, KTR asked him to speak on Centre’s assistance to India’s biggest Kakatiya Textile Park in Telangana. “If the Telangana BJP chief’s love towards handloom weavers is true then he has to demand the Centre to announce special financial assistance to them in the Parliament,” he said.
