Rice scam in Telangana for last 8 years: Is CM KCR unaware, asks Revanth

TPCC president Revanth Reddy on Saturday alleged that rice scam is going on for the last eight years in the state. He tweeted, “one lakh quintals of rice were missing in Nizamabad district alone.” He stated that lakhs of quintals of rice were stolen in all the districts. How rice scam is possible all these years without Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao knowing about it, he asked. Revanth slammed the BJP-led Modi government for not ordering CBI probe into the scam.

The TPCC chief accused the ruling TRS government of filing cases under the PD Act against the Congress activists in Khammam for fighting corruption and irregularities of the KCR government. “Minister Puvvada should understand that politics with cases will not last long,” he mentioned. He vowed to protect the Congress leaders and workers from police cases. Earlier, he attended a meeting at Gandhi Bhavan in Hyderabad in which former ministers and PCC executive committee members were present.
