TRS MLA snatches mike from MP in minister’s presence
The TRS cadre organised a rythu deeksha in front of Tahsildar’s office in Mahabubabad on Thursday with a demand that Centre should procure the paddy cultivated by Telangana farmers in Yasangi. Minister Satyavathi Rathod, TRS MP Maloth Kavitha, MLAs and local party leaders have participated in the protest.
However, differences between the TRS leaders came to fore when Mahabubabad MLA B Shankar Naik asked MP Kavitha to give him the mike as he wanted to address the meeting. Giving reply to MLA, the MP said that she will hand over the mike once she completes her speech. To everyone’s surprise, he snatched mike from her in the presence of minister.
Later, Satyavathi rose and started her speech by thanking Shankar Naik for organising the rythu deeksha. For which, Dornakal MLA D S Redya Naik has raised objection and advised the minister to say that the meeting was organised under the leadership of district party president M. Kavitha.
