No moral right for CM Jagan to speak on decentralisation: Yanamala
TDP politburo member and former MLC Yanamala Ramakrishnudu on Thursday demanded that Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy should release a white paper on funds utilised for the development of the state after YSRCP came to power. He slammed the CM for not spending Rs 20,000 crore towards Amaravati capital development instead diverted funds allocated for improving basic amenities in SC, ST, BC, and minority localities. “CM has no moral right to speak on decentralisation,” he criticised.
Yanamala has faulted the ruling state government for diverting Rs 3,500 crore sanctioned for panchayats. Even, Rs 7,500 crore given by the 14th and 15th Finance Commissions to AP were utilised for some other purpose, he mentioned. Except for burdening the people by imposing tax on garbage collection, the Jagan government did not strengthen local bodies, he flayed. The TDP leader gave a call to representatives of local bodies to fight against the YSRCP rule.
