Hyd: IT companies remove 8 techies from jobs for consuming drugs
Based on the information provided by the Narcotics Enforcement Bureau (NCB) officials and cops, the Hyderabad-based Information Technology (IT) companies have removed 8 software engineers from jobs in the last one week for using drugs.
During the investigation, it was found that drug consumers are becoming peddlers over a period of time. The Hyderabad’s NCB wing has been focusing to prevent smuggling of ganja, cocaine, hash oil, LSD and other banned substances.
Meanwhile, MIM president Asaduddin Owaisi has faulted the Banjara Hills police for arresting only organisers of Pudding and Mink Pub and allowing others to go free despite finding cocaine in the rave party during the raid.
In a tweet, he said, “Rule of law is supreme... it is very unfortunate that cocaine was found in this rave party and all offsprings of rich kids released. Not a single arrest apart from the owner of the place. Law should be applied equally to the poor and rich.”
