Galaxy Z Fold4 may feature upgraded Ultra Thin Glass

South Korean tech giant Samsung is working on its next foldable smartphone -- Galaxy Z Fold4 and now a new report has claimed that the upcoming foldable phone will use a new, harder type of Ultra Thin Glass (UTG). According to a leakster on Korean blog Naver, this new and stronger version of its UTG will allegedly help it become more durable, reports GSMArena.

The smartphone is expected to come with the same form-factor as the device's predecessor. Galaxy Z Fold4 would retain the same form-factor as the device's predecessor, with a narrow external display paired with a rectangular inner screen.

The Galaxy Z Fold3 featured a single camera island housing three cameras and a flash, but the Z Fold4 render shows a camera system that looks almost identical to the S22 Ultra. The Galaxy Z Fold4 will come with an improved under-display camera (UDC) on both the internal and external screens, citing a tipster.

The overall primary camera setup is also getting an upgrade to bring the Galaxy Z Fold4 on par with the camera quality offered by the current flagship in the market. The rumoured foldable smartphone is also expected to feature the upcoming Snapdragon 898, with the same screen size and battery size (4,400mAh).

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4 may also have a lower starting price. Recently, a report mentioned that the company will aim for 6.9 million units of the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip4 and 2.9 million of the Z Fold4.
For comparison, the 2021 models targeted 4 million for the Z Flip3 and 3 million for the Z Fold3.
