Mortal remains of Minister Gautham Reddy to be airlifted to Nellore tomorrow

Amaravati: Government Chief Whip Gadikota Srikanth Reddy said arrangements are being made to shift the mortal remains of Minister Mekapati Gautam Reddy, who died of a heart attack, to his home district Nellore. He said mortal remains may be shited by military helicopter and if it is not possible, they would be airlifted by a private plane.

Srikanth Reddy explained that the mortal remains will be shifted at 8 am on Tuesday and the funeral will be performed at Mekapati's native village Brahmanapalli on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, the AP government has postponed official functions to mourn the untimely demise of Minister Mekapati Gautam Reddy. The 'Jagannanna Thodu', a financial assistance programme, which was slated for Tuesday, was postponed.
