JAC of medical and health dept to go on strike from Feb 7

Employees in Andhra Pradesh are intensifying the stir against the PRC. Despite speculations over the government may use ESMA against them, they are adamant and reiterated that they are firm on their demands.

On the other hand, the JAC of the medical and health department, too, has decided to go on strike from February 7. JAC leaders made a statement to this effect on Monday. "While working as frontline workers, we are facing many problems from the government," said Oscar Rao, leader of the PRC Sadhana Samithi. He said handing over the monitoring responsibilities of the health department to the District collectors is unfair.

It may be recalled that employees are against the new Pay Revision Commission since the government issued GOs by fixing new pay scales. The employees' unions were shocked after the government through the GOs has reduced the House Rent Allowance (HRA) slabs and removed City Compensatory Allowance (CCA).
