Rahul Gandhi is going abroad this year, too

Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi is again going on a foreign trip. Last year, he went abroad without an announcement, raising much speculation about his wherabouts. Some saw him here, some saw him there. But he returned. This time he tweeted, `On a short journey I'll leave the country for a few days. Thanks to those who wished me on my birthday.' Rahul was 46 on Sunday. Last year, he was off the country for 56 days. This year he cannot afford that long trip because he is the key party leader when the various parties are preparing for next year's crucial elections. The dynastic Congress entirely depends upon the Nehru-Indira family for its survival, and Rajiv, who is expected to take over the reins of Congress presidentship, is a key figure in it.
