Modi best bet, Rahul being noticed

If there were to be elections today, whom would you vote? The majority of the people in the country would vote for Narendra Modi, the incumbent, a survey carried out by India Today-Karvy Insights has suggeested. Narendra Modi is still the best bet, bar the shouting, they emphatically said. This should stay the opposition, Congress-Left-terrorist supporters, in their tracks for building an intolerance debate in the country. The redeeming feature, so far as the Congress is concerned, the people are noticing Rahul Gandhi, Congress Vice-President. But they do not know Rahul is active in the intolerance business. Only 40% thought intolerance had gone up in the country. The campaign seems to be catching people's imagination slowly, although 60% said no. What are the major issues facing the coutnry? In all, 34% said it was price rise, 34% said it was corruption, while 7% each thought it was economy and terrorism, respectively. Asked whether the Modi government had brought `Acche Din,' 40% said yes, 31% said No and 22% said conditions remained the same.
