KCR failed to fulfill poll promises: Jagan

Warangal, Nov 19: Hitting hard at the TRS Government for its failure in fulfilling the poll promises, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has said that YSR still remains the heartbeat of people for the welfare schemes he has unrolled which has benefitted every section of the society. ‘You have to ask the Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao as to why the election promise of loan waiver was not fulfilled and the reason for escalating prices of essential commodities and growing number of farmer suicides as there is no MSP for the produce,’ he said during electioneering for the by-poll to Warangal Lok Sabha seat and appealed to the people to vote for YSR Congress which will teach the TRS a lesson. Even 18 months after coming to power, KCR has never fulfilled his poll promise of loan waiver and has been telling that it would be done in installments, something which he did not say during 2014 election campaign. Cotton farmers are getting a raw deal as the price they are getting is far less than the MSP and the state has been indifferent towards them. The irrigation projects started by YSR were not completed by the TRS government which has further dampened the spirits of farmers, he said. Though KCR has promised to give three-acre land to weaker sections, it was not fulfilled while YSR has the credit of disbursing 20 lakh acres to weaker sections and he also has the credit of providing houses to weaker sections more than the national aggregate. KCR’s two bed-room promise did not go out of Hyderabad, he said. The welfare schemes of YSR like Aarogyasri and fees reimbursement has brought in social justice, he said and appealed to the people to join hands in strengthening YSR Congress.
