Warangal bypoll: Congress likely to field Vivek, keen contest on cards

Hyderabad, Oct 27: In all likelihood, Congress would field the party senior leader and former union minister Venkata Swamy's son and Peddapalli Ex-MP Vivek for by-poll to Warangal Lok Sabha seat. Just before 2014 general elections, Vivek joined TRS but within a few months he rejoined Congress. Vivek has good fame in his community and TRS made every effort to woo him and to field him for Warangal Lok Sabha seat reserved for Scheduled Category. Vivek denied the offer and refuted the rumours that he would quit Congress party. The Congress high command today summoned Vivek to Delhi and it lends credence to the rumours that he would be party nominee for the bypoll. TPCC chief N Uttam Kumar Reddy will also visit Delhi today to submit a list of the party probables for the bypolls. Vivek has the ability to tilt the electoral fortune in favour of Congress.
