Ragging claims another life

Warangal, Sep 01: Despite the stringent measures taken by officials and educational institutions, ragging incidents are surfacing in both the Telugu states. Ragging claimed another life in Warangal district today. Educational institutions in both the states took several steps to curb the menace after the death of ANU B Arch student Rishiteswari but there was no let-up in ragging incidents. According to reports, a B Tech first year student allegedly committed suicide, by jumping before a running train, unable the bear the harassment of seniors. The deceased is identified as Swaminath. He committed suicide at Vaddepally near Warangal. He was a student of CMR Engineering College in Hyderabad. He was native of Mancherial in Adilabad district.
