Fish rain down in Vijayawada

Vijayawada, July 23: Residents of Ramavarappadu in Vijayawada woke up to a surprise on Wednesday morning with live fish lying around their residences. The locals collected the live fish and according them the fish fell during the intermittent rain. Residents near Pinnamaneni apartments in the locality said that the fish were alive till early morning. This is not first time fish falling directly from sky. The same incident occurred at Gollamudi village a month ago. The villagers collected 'Valuga' fish variety from fields after rain. Scientists attributed this phenomenon to watersprouts in which the winds suck up everything including fish and other marine creatures and after they loose velocity the creatures will fall down.
