Refinery cracker unit in AP

Hyderabad, July 9: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and his team, after a successfully concluding their Japan tour are flying back to Hyderabad after a stop over at Delhi. In Delhi, Naidu would meet Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh and several other Central Ministers to discuss several pending problems being faced by AP. Naidu, during his Japan tour, had invited Japanese firms to invest in his State. According to sources, JGC Corporation had come forward to set up a refinery cracker unit in the State. Naidu explained about the natural gas resources in KG Basin and invited the JGC officials to check the possibilities for setting up a petro-chemical corridor in the State. Japan Research Institute agreed to study the possibilities of eco-city and latest modes of transport systems. Toshiba vice-president Toshio Masaki assured of extending the needed cooperation for the maintenance of power systems. The AP Technological Services organisation had inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with National Electronics Corporation (NEC) of Japan for making Tirupati as the safest city. As per the MoU, surveillance system will be strengthened and smart transport system and policing systems would be developed. NEC would extend financial help for the project.
