Rahul Gandhi expresses remorse over making Kiran Kumar CM

New Delhi, May 7, 2015: AICC vice president Rahul Gandhi has expressed his remorse in making the then assembly Speaker Nallari Kirankumar Reddy chief minister of the united AP in place of Congress stalwart K.Rosaiah. Rahul Gandhi was said to have expressed his regrets over the issue in his discussions with AP Congress leaders who met him here recently. "I played a key role in making Kirankumar Reddy successor to Rosaiah. We paid a heavy price for the mistake," he reportedly remarked. Rahul Gandhi was also said to have commented that it would take many years for the Congress to recover in AP. "I should have listened to the advice of the state Congress senior leaders who asked me to remove Kirankumar Reddy from the CM post," Rahul has reportedly expressed.
