TTD Board Approves ₹5,258.68 Crore Budget for 2025-26; Key Resolutions Announced

Tirumala, 24 March 2025: The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) Board of Trustees has approved a budget of ₹5,258.68 crore for the financial year 2025-26, TTD Chairman Sri B.R. Naidu announced on Monday.

Following the TTD Board meeting held at Annamaiah Bhavan, Sri B.R. Naidu, accompanied by TTD Executive Officer Sri J. Syamala Rao, board members, and other officials, addressed the media and outlined several significant resolutions adopted by the board:

The board resolved to explore the feasibility of increasing the salaries of Potu workers, who are responsible for preparing the sacred offerings, and to enhance their access to medical care.

Approval was granted to provide financial assistance for the reconstruction of temples at Kodangal, Karimnagar, Upamaka, Anakapalle, Kurnool, Dharmavaram, Talakona, and Tirupati (Gangamma).

The board decided to revoke the donation passbooks of donors who have previously supplied organic products to the TTD.

A decision was taken to undertake the reconstruction of certain VIP and non-VIP guest houses in Tirumala to improve accommodation facilities for pilgrims.

The board resolved to cancel the allocation of 20 acres of land previously designated for the establishment of a Science City and Museum at Alipiri.

A directive was issued to identify unauthorized and unlicensed shops in Tirumala and initiate appropriate action against them.

The board agreed to explore the possibility of facilitating offline darshan of Lord Venkateswara (Srivaru) for elderly and specially-abled devotees.

A decision was made to assess the feasibility of adjusting the timing of the Srivari VIP break darshan to 5:30 a.m., in response to devotees' requests to revert to the previous schedule.

The board resolved to grant six darshan tickets through Supatham to the family members of TTD employees once every three months.

A committee will be formed to address the issues faced by 151 contract lecturers who have been working in TTD colleges for the past 25 years.

Approval was granted for the formation of a new Agama Salaha Mandali (Agama Advisory Council) to provide guidance on temple rituals and practices.

The board sanctioned ₹1 crore for the development of the Srinivasa Sports Complex in Tirupati to improve sports facilities.

Sri B.R. Naidu stated that these decisions are intended to enhance temple administration, improve facilities for devotees, and address long-standing employee issues.
